The Pairing
BeerNerdz and Chef Oz at Cueva Bar are teaming up once again to host a one of a kind Latin inspired Beer Dinner. We had such a great experience with our cheese and beer tasting we wanted to expand the menu and showcase the talents of Chef Oz. The five course tapa style menu will be sure to delight as we pair some unique dishes with some of San Diego's best beer.
1st Course
Serrano peppers and zucchini blossom Queso Fresco paired with Devotion from Lost Abbey Chef Oz will use the beer paired with the queso fresco in the cheese
2nd Course
Ceviche paired with Claritas from Hess Fresh fish cured with lime juice, combined with cucumbers, jicama, avocados and mango
3rd Course
Chicken Mole paired with Brown Ale from Black Market Brewery Chicken breast is braised then slightly simmered in Cueva's mole sauce made with Brown Ale, served with Mexican rice pilaf
4th Course
Stuffed dates paired with a Dubbel from Beer Co Dates are stuffed with bacon and goat cheese, baked then drizzled with a smoky chile oil
5th Course
Homemade Mexican chocolate espresso brownies and beer floats paired with Sea Monster from Ballast Point
